A former Maine West High School soccer coach has been charged with multiple misdemeanor counts involving the battery and hazing of players on his team, according to the Cook County state’s attorney’s office.

THEFT An employee at Enterprise Rent-A-Car, 9401 N. Milwaukee Ave., told police on April 18 that a woman rented a vehicle on March 28 and never returned it. On April 2, the woman reportedly told the company she wanted to keep the vehicle longer and asked that her credit card be charged, but the card was declined, police said. When the company contacted the woman again, she claimed she never rented a car and that her personal information had been stolen in a robbery, the employee told police. An investigation was pending.
