Doctors named to ‘Top’ list

More than 100 Advocate Lutheran General Hospital/Advocate Lutheran General Children’s Hospital physicians were recently recognized as the best in their fields, with 13 being named in the top 1 percent of the nation’s doctors in U.S. News Media Group’s 2011 Top Doctors listing.

Gluckman, Urologist; Dr. Wayne Goldstein, Orthopedic Surgeon; Dr. T.S. Gunasekaran, Pediatric Gastroenterologist; Dr. Laurence Jacobs, Reproductive Endocrinologist; Dr. Charles Miller, Reproductive Endocrinologist; Dr. Robert P. Miller, Pediatric ENT-Otolaryngologist; Dr. Jose Oberholzer, Surgeon; Dr. Jon Richards, Medical Oncologist; Dr. John R. Ruge, Neurosurgeon; Dr. Phillip Werner, Endocrinologist.

The U.S. News Top Doctors list was created in collaboration with Castle Connolly Medical Ltd., publisher of America’s Top Doctors and other consumer health guides, drawing from Castle Connolly’s database of peer-recommended physicians. The list builds on the 22nd annual Best Hospitals rankings recently released, which ranked Advocate Lutheran General Hospital as one of the Best Hospitals in the Chicago metro area.
