NILES — Shoppers looking for the latest fashions at a good price may want to check out the styles at the newest Dots women’s clothing store in Niles.
“We’re fashion at a value,” said Renee Green, district manager for Dots. “We offer a product that is the latest fashion, but at a great value.”
The store, which sells junior clothing through plus sizes, opened at 5762 W. Touhy Ave. in mid-November. A second Dots store is located in Niles’ Four Flaggs Shopping Center.
Dots offers a variety of women’s clothing, such as intimate apparel, denim, dressy clothing, casual clothing, party dresses, career dresses, jackets and skirts, as well as shoes and accessories.
“We’re really a one-stop shop,” said Green. “You can purchase your complete outfit with us.”
Green said Dots is always bringing in new products.
“You’ll see something fresh and new all the time,” said Green.
Green said the store gets a great deal of traffic being located in a busy shopping mall next to the Ross Dress for Less store and Walmart.
“We thought it would be a great brand for the neighborhood,” said Green.
“We’re starting to get more steady customers,” added Krystal Kolbaski, manager of the new Dots store. She said some people who have never shopped at Dots before have become regulars and visited the store during the holidays.
“They’re excited that we’ve joined the community,” said Green. “People are coming in and seeing what we’re all about.”
Green said that some customers have also said that they have shopped at other locations previously, but this one is closer to their homes.
There are about 36 Dots stores in the Chicagoland area. The company is based out of Cleveland, Ohio and has locations primarily in the eastern U.S. and the Midwest, as well as in Texas and Okalahoma.
“Our long-term goal is to go nationwide,” said Green.
The company also recently launched a website, www.dots.com, where customers can purchase products though the Internet.
The Niles store has a total of six employees. Kolbaski has been with the company for six years and was the manager at other Dots locations, including the Four Flaggs store.
