Niles traffic campaign nets 13 arrests

NILES — Last month the Niles Police Department participated in a traffic enforcement campaign targeting impaired drivers and occupant restraint violations. Between Nov. 12 and Nov. 25 the Niles Police Department conducted saturation patrols and roadblocks throughout the village.
The results of these enforcement operations included four arrests for license violations, nine arrests for driving under the influence, 110 tickets for speeding violation, 27 seatbelt violations and 143 other traffic violations.
