Niles man dies after fire in home

NILES — A 91-year-old man died Saturday afternoon after he was badly burned when a fire erupted at his home in Niles.
Seymour Cohen had burns on 30 percent of his body after his home in the 8900 block of Golf Road caught on fire, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
Cohen was pronounced dead at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood at 3:09 p.m., the medical examiner’s office said.
Authorities in Niles did not immediately return calls for comment Saturday night.
