Chicago Botanic Garden Harvest Ball: 6 p.m. Sept. 21, Chicago Botanic Garden, 1000 Lake Cook Road, Glencoe, The Guild of the Chicago Botanic Garden begins this black-tie affair with a cocktail reception and silent auction followed by dinner and a live auction that features domestic and international vacation packages.
